MLM Success and Holiday Cheer

Of course you can have holiday cheer anyway, but mlm success and holiday cheer go together very well.

Since I am part of a global team that is a family, both my Mentoring for Free mastermind family and my team mastermind family, we support each other wherever we are in the world, thanks to the magic and instantaneous connection via technology.

Talk about positive energy!  MLM works best when you have a team that loves each other, works together, supports each other, and leaves greed and ego at the door.

I want to thank Michael and Linda Dlouhy, founders of Mentoring for Free, and all the great mentors and coaches, including Richard Dennis,  Don Standard, Sarah Thompson, Judi Sheehan, Patti  Blevins, Bob and Anna Bassett, Marcello Lisi, Cynthia Breed, Penny Dude, Walter Reade, and the technology people who record trainings, including Ken Klemm, Dwight Baker, Kim Bolte, Kathy Moffatt.

Thank you for your great service to us all.  Wishing you a wonderful holiday season, a fantastic new year.  Let’s go mentor’em in 2010.

Wishing you all mlm success and holiday cheer,

Wendy Weber, the Singing Network Marketer

I saw an ad on TrafficSwarm with the heading “Do you want to be Filthy Rich?”  That got me to thinking about mlm success and “filthy rich” – negative connotation.

The first I really heard and understood about negative connotations about money was at a presentation by Randy Gage in Tucson when I was with a prior company.  He used word pictures and stories and also used the movie Titanic as an example.  Fortunately, I never liked that movie and refuse to see it again.  Then I understood why.

The message of the movie is basically that the rich people are boring and stupid and evil and the poor people are interesting, fun, resourceful, and good.  With that kind of an attitude, how can anyone ever get ahead – as soon as they get some wealth they’ll lose it because their subconscious mind will say it’s bad and create situations to get rid of wealth or stop it from accumulating.

The TrafficSwarm advertiser may just be setting himself up for failure – when people feel that having money is dirty, they tend to self-sabotage themselves in accumulating money.  Even if that expression is used in jest.  They will get so far and then start to fail.  It reminds me of “washing your mouth out with soap”.  Got to clean up, money is dirty…

It takes awareness and work to change around that thinking.  Often we cannot do it alone.  I can tell you that the best way is to turn off all negativity around  you – TV, newspapers, radio, etc. – and substitute the negative thoughts with positive ones.  Possibly you cannot do this alone.  I couldn’t.

And also, we need to find out where our negative thoughts, programming comes from, acknowledge it, and let it go.  This can be a life-long, ongoing  process.

And, guess what?  You might find the real you inside you.  I did.  Still working on it, but doing much, much better.

Wishing you the means to get rid of the mlm success and “filthy rich’ negative connotation and embrace all the great things you can do with money,

From the “ain’t it the truth” files:

Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards.
-  Søren Kierkegaard

Don’t we all have 20-20 hindsight?  But we have to live in the now and each step forward is a piece of now and another moment of now, and so on and so on…

I think it’s okay to look back and figure out what happened – if we need to – but not to dwell on the past.  That can cripple you and can be a monumental waste of time.

Wishing that you all keep living life forwards for mlm success,

Did it ever occur to you that you need to create the “real deal” for your subconscious mind for mlm success?  What the heck am I talking about!

Last night I went to an adult reading of the Megillah of the story of Esther, the Jewish holiday of Purim.  It’s a great story.  It’s not based on fact, but still a great story.  This evening was orchestrated by our synagogue’s rabbi emeritus, who is quite a character himself.

This was close to ”R” rated and we laughed a lot.  I can’t tell you what went on.  I don’t know what rating you are cleared for.

But I was thinking about the story of Esther.  Each year at this time we read the story, dress up as characters, many of us, and eat the special cookie hamantaschen.  What a great time is had based on a story that has no basis in fact.  It’s not real.

How many of us base everyday business on perceptions that are not real, that have no basis in fact?  Some of our assumptions come from people who want to get us in their deal and don’t care how they do it.  There is a lot of spin going on in the network marketing world.

Some of our assumptions come from studying information written by people who have either never built a downline or did it so long ago that what worked then doesn’t work today.

Some of our assumptions come from imperfect understanding of what we are learning, while many of our assumptions come from fear and the negative aspects of that emotion which blocks our ability to move forward.

The Mental Cleanse, sponsored for free by Mentoring for Free, helps us address the fear issue.  Chapter 15 in Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich goes over that.  I certainly have identified some residual fear issues that I am working on.  Many others participating in the 30 Day Cleanse are working on their respective fears as well.

You’ve probably heard the acronym for fear being false evidence appearing real. When we learn that fear comes out of your subconscious and often, without digging, we don’t even know or remember its origin, we can begin to work on it.  Our subconscious mind does not know real from made-up.  We have to convince it of what we want it to believe.  It is much more powerful than our conscious mind.

If you ever decide you need help with that, let me know and I’ll plug you in.

Wishing you the ability to create the real deal for your subconscious mind for mlm success,

Become a Leader for MLM Success

My friend and mentor Art Jonak gave the first part of a training on becoming a leader.  Leaders are the ones who gain the most and create the most income.  Therefore, it’s a good idea for you to become a leader for mlm success.

There are different levels of becoming one.  The progression, the steps must be done in order.  If you leave out a level, you will never get the experience to help others become leaders.

Leadership begins with character.  That is the foundation, so that the higher you get on the ladder of leadership, the more you need that solid foundation for stability, not false leadership.  Character makes a leader reliable, someone people want to follow.

Wikipedia says that character is a psychological system of personal traits.  Further, it refers to moral character as an evaluation of a particular individual’s moral qualities.  So we’re talking about moral excellence and firmness as traits that make up good character in a person.

You might be thinking, “should people follow my leadership?  Am I there through thick and thin?  And how do I learn to become a leader?” That, indeed, is the first step.   A leader must first be a learner.

Wishing you the ability to become a leader for mlm success,

“Les Mis” and MLM Success

The other night I went with my play buddy to see the musical Les Mis at the Phoenix Theatre.  This year community theaters have permission to produce this show, which is my all-time favorite musical, beating out my former favorite My Fair Lady.

While not based on a very upbeat story, I find the music brillliant, melodic, threaded perfectly through the story.  Any time a musical theme is repeated it is not haphazard, rather it is appropriately placed.  I just love that.  What a difference from Phantom of the Opera, which has too much repetition of themes, in my opinion.

Anyway, I was thinking about how perfectly balanced the show was.

1. It has a compelling story
2. Great characters we love to love or hate
3. Phenomenal music and staging
4. Outstanding performers
5) A great set

Those 5 attributes that made the show work on all levels put me in mind of the 5 Pillars to Success a company needs to have for you, the distributor, to be successful in mlm, not just the company:

1. Company management and experience with integrity
2. Timing in the company and timing in the industry
3. A remarkable product
4. Compensation plan
5. Duplicatable system.

Every 3rd Saturday of the month Mentoring for Free trains on this.

Well, the Les Mis run was extended, so I’d better get cracking to order tickets for me to take Leila, as she loves the show, too, and didn’t get to go.

Wishing you the joy of “Les Mis” and mlm success,

Network Marketing Training for MLM Success

I’m sure you would agree that every job you do requires skills training, whether you are a doctor or a ditch digger.  Network marketing is no different.  You need good network marketing training for mlm success.

So many people get into network marketing and are promised training, promised a system for success.  People love systems, the prospect of one is very attractive.

Why?

Most of us come from an employee background.  We work certain hours, we have certain expectations, and are told what to do.  Without the comfort of being told what to do, we tend to flounder.  So a system takes the place of being told by a boss what to do.

I’ve got news for you, making a list of friends and family is not a system.  Also, just because you pay for training does not mean it’s any good.  I have paid thousands for all kinds of training that was supposed to make me successful.  Nothing worked till I got to Mentoring for Free where the skills training is absolutely, well, free.

So what does it cost me?  My time and perhaps some phone cost.

What other valuable training is out there?  The one I know of that I really like is Tom “Big Al” Schreiter’s training at www.fortunenow.com.  Many of you know Tom because he does generic training all over the world.  He’s one of the most successful network marketers out there.

Tom believes in keeping it simple.  I like simple.  He’s a “green” personality and likes lots of data.  He tests and tests, so what he teaches works.  You can also check his site to see where he’ll be training and if he’s anywhere near you don’t miss it.  In addition to great training you’ll also have a good laugh.

You also might want to check into what Art Jonak is doing.  You can google him.

Wishing you great network marketing training for mlm success,

Wayne Dyer says: “For the spiritual being, intuition is far more than a hunch. It is viewed as guidance or as God talking, and this inner insight is never taken lightly or ignored.”

We speak and learn about this on the Mental Cleanse calls.  In fact, we’re doing chapter 14 of Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich this week and are talking about intuition and the part it plays in life and in success.  It’s there for us to use.  We learn to listen to it and hone the listening.  Awareness is so important.

If you ever want to join us for the Mental Cleanse calls, let me know and I’ll tell you how to sign up for this safe, loving, supportive, non-judgmental mastermind experience that takes place twice every Wednesday.

Wishing that for you intuition is more than just a hunch for mlm success,

Betting On Yourself for MLM Success

If you had been on the Coaches Corner Mastermind call this past  Saturday night, you would have heard us finish up Chapter 2 from the book we’re reading called Betting On Yourself by Dr. Robert Anthony.

This concludes several weeks of lessons submitted by members of the “Leaders List”.  Below is the lesson I submitted, which we went over a few weeks ago:

“I was struck most by the link, the relationship between chance and luck. That “chance is comprised of an unpredictable number of happenings, both important and irrelevant”, and that I can turn a “chance” event into a “luck” event when I develop an emotional attachment, is a real eye-opener. “Luck is really a personalized perception of chance”.

So what do I have to do to turn “chance” into “luck”? I have to be listening. I have to be paying attention. I have to notice the verbal, visual, and “feeling” cues. I have to still myself and be open to whatever messages the universe is sending.

I also must “expect” to get the things I want. Also, I must be prepared to take action once an idea has been formed. And not just any action, but “appropriate” action. Dr. Anthony says that people who do that “invariably find that the more action they take, the luckier they get.” As I decide to be the person to be open to and take appropriate action, actually take the action, I will have the luck I desire.”

An “ah ha” moment for me on this past Saturday’s call was Henrietta’s lesson and especially the part giving a great word picture of expecting good things to come.  She says, “Expecting” is a positive feeling. Its a feeling of security, comfort, a peaceful feeling. Like a hot bath. Your body starts to tingle with anticipation before your toe even hits that water. its never a question of “if”, its a rock solid “Yes it is”.

This helps me be crystal clear on what expecting is.  This the beauty of the mastermind.  Anyone interested in joining this mastermind group please contact me.

Wishing you the desire for betting on yourself for mlm success,

How to Write Your Story for MLM Success

In my last post I suggested you write your story but I didn’t give any tips on how to write your story for MLM success.

You can write it in longhand on paper, you can write it on a typewriter, if there are still any around.  A word processor on the computer works great because you can cut and paste with ease, delete, add, copy, etc.

If you feel you cannot write, speak it into a recorded and then transcribe it.  Most people can talk.  If you cannot transcribe it, get someone you trust or maybe even a stranger to do it for you.

My mother used to work part time at a place in Chicago called “Permadisk” transcribing letters via a dictaphone machine.  She worked the recorder back and forth with a foot gismo that left her hands free to type.  And I did a little myself at Northwestern University in the Mechanical Engineering department, which was my first job out of college and newly married.

My good friend and mentor Richard Dennis helped Michael Dlouhy write Success in 10 Steps by having him talk into a recorder, Richard transcribed it and sent it back to Michael for editing.  This brilliant book  tells the truth about network marketing today in Michael’s entertaining style as if he were talking one-on-one with each of us.

So if you feel you cannot write, record your story.  No one can write it but you.  And don’t forget to have fun with it.

Wishing you the knowledge of how to write your story for mlm success,
