I was listening to the radio today and heard a story that made me wonder if you are asking the right questions for network marketing success.

Okay, I know, I shouldn’t listen to all the negative stuff spewed from the media, but it actually spilled over from the traffic and weather that I tune in for. Good thing they’re at the same times.

Anyway, the story was about a hospital here in the Phoenix area that has amenities for people staying there, such as flatscreen tv, laptop computers, in-room refrigerators, massages for a small fee and also pedicures, etc. They interviewed a yound woman who had just had a baby and really liked the homey feel, especially being able to send out baby pictures by email right away.

Okay, that’s great. But did she ask the other questions – the ones that matter? Do the doctors and nurses wash their hands and disinfect between patients? There are stories of professionals who don’t even though they know better. What is the staff infection rate of patients in the facility? What is the illness and death rate from hospital mistakes? What safeguards do they have to avoid mistakes? What is the turn-around time to get help when you call for someone? Is the food nutritious and not full of bad, health depleting ingredients so that you can actually recover?

I’d want to know these things. Hospitals can save lives but are also very dangerous places. What is being done to minimize the danger? I’m going to challenge the meds being given me. Of course, I do everything I can to stay out of the hospital in the first place.

At any rate, it got me to thinking. People are afraid to ask doctors, nurses, and administrators these questions. Network marketers – new or experienced – may be reluctant to challenge an upline or corporate office about the pay plan, breakage in the plan, exactly what’s in the products, what is the experience and integrity of the management, etc. How do you find this out?
