Have Faith and Trust for Network Marketing Success

It can take a good while to begin to see progress in network marketing.  I’ve learned to be positive and have faith and trust for network marketing success.

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as if everything is.”

– Albert Einstein

Thank you Dr. Einstein.  This fits right in with this week’s lesson with the Mental Cleanse Mastermind on faith as well as this week’s lesson in my Mussar class which is on trust.

My Mussar program, which is about 1000 years old, has a lesson that “trust is build on a foundation of faith, since you won’t be able to trust God if you don’t feel that God is a presence and a factor in your life.”  Also, “strong trust makes you brave.”

Now, in the Mental Cleanse program the force to trust isn’t necessarily God – some people don’t believe in God and that is okay.  But the universe is another view, since I’ve come to believe and have faith that there is something greater than I or the world.

I had to learn to have faith – Napoleon Hill says that “faith is the head chemist of the mind.  When faith is blended with thought, the subconscious mind instantly picks up the vibration, translates it into its spiritual equivalent, and transmits it ti Infinite Intelligence, as in the case of prayer.”

Faith can be developed, as I managed it, through autosuggestion and repetition of the idea or concept you want your subconscious mind to believe – it believes what you tell it, whether true or false, whether positive or negative.  I might as well give it something positive to believe.

Once I understood I was the mistress of my own fate and what I told myself and came to believe about myself created my outcome, things started to turn around for me.

There is a story in the Mussar readings that a family singled out and sent to Siberia was thought to be unlucky.  However, that family survived the Holocost, because the other families were rounded up and sent to the death camps.  We never know what the outcome will be; we rarely know the whole story.

This has been a particularly valuable ability for me to learn: if something bad or frustratiing happens to me, I thank God and am grateful, because I am certain there is a reason.  I’m supposed to go later and meet someone or avoid an accident.  I’m supposed to see something that would not have occurred earlier.  If I don’t get something I wanted I wasn’t supposed to have it – it would have been a disaster or there is something better out there for me.

This saves me from a lot of anger and frustration and I have definitely been saved from things I’m not supposed to have which would have caused me bad consequences.  Has any of that happened to you?

Wishing you the ability to have faith and trust for network marketing success,

From the “ain’t it the truth” files:

Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards.
–  Søren Kierkegaard

Don’t we all have 20-20 hindsight?  But we have to live in the now and each step forward is a piece of now and another moment of now, and so on and so on…

I think it’s okay to look back and figure out what happened – if we need to – but not to dwell on the past.  That can cripple you and can be a monumental waste of time.

Wishing that you all keep living life forwards for mlm success,

Wishing Your Birthdays Are as Great as Mine

Today is my birthday.  I’m nearing another decade milestone.

That doesn’t bother me much because I don’t feel or look my age.  I’ll just keep working on the things I desire till my time is up.  Having fun also has a lot to do with it.

In the midst of challenging times network marketing does wonderfully – if you’re doing it right, whether full time or part time, if you’re in the right place, the right time, and with a company that puts you, the distributor, first, it’s an awesome profession and hedge against any downturn in the economy.

I used to just exist getting from one day to the next.  Now I dream and believe I am achieving my dreams.

Thank you to my Mentoring for Free family, my network marketing team family, and my real family.  I know I am with the best team in the world.  I have the best mother in the world.  I have the best kids in the world.  I love my synagogue and my teammates at my job.  I have two awesome live-in blue-headed pionus parrots who share a house I love in a great neighborhood.  Also, there is my awesome boyfriend and some really good friends.  I have the gift of music and creativity, and I get to travel because it’s my choice.  I have my health.

Happy birthday to me and many more.

Wishing your birthdays are as great as mine,

Green personalities are famous for getting ready to get ready for network marketing success.

Blues can do it, too.  It’s easier than talking to people if they don’t have the skills and have an agenda.

You can get ready all you want – I’ve done that – but unless you know how to speak to people, how to get rid of your agenda, how to get out of your own way, all that getting ready is pretty much a waste of time.

Now, I know green personalities don’t like to waste time.  Blues don’t, either, but waste of time can mean different things to different people.

If you’re spending too much time getting ready to get ready for doing business, I can plug you into free skills training so you can actually do the business of network marketing.  Mainly, that’s talking to people either in person, on the phone, or over the internet.

Wishing you the ability to get past getting ready to get ready for network marketing success,

It really helps to adopt a positive attitude for network marketing success.

W. Clement Stone says:

“There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. That little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.”

We have learned through our 30 Day Mental Cleanse (though some of us do it for longer than 30 days, such as forever!) that you can have only one type of thought at a time – either positive or negative, but not both.  This is not a new concept and you may have heard it elsewhere.

But do you use it!

It’s not that hard to change your thought on the spot from a negative one to a positive one.  First you  must be aware that it is negative.

Awareness is the first step to personal growth in general.  There are step-by-step methods to follow.

Where would I start?  Well, Think and Grow Rich is a great book to start with, especially with the Mental Cleanse mastermind group.  We don’t always see in ourselves what others see in us, but we listen to others talking about themselves and we learn a lot about them as well as ourselves.

Is that too difficult?  Well, maybe try this.  Most of us are shallow-breathers, except when we think about our breathing or are doing physical exercise.

What if you were to choose to pay attention to your breathing, to breathe deeply? Breathe in through your nose while counting to 10 or 20 and breathe out through  your mouth forcefully.   It’s difficult to think of everything else when you’re doing that and it’s also a stress-buster.  Try it, you might like it.  It’s a positive thing.  When you’re concentrating on that you cannot sustain negative thoughts.

I’d rather be around someone who is positive, wouldn’t you?

Wishing you the knowledge that a positive attitude beats out a negative attitude for network marketing success,

In network marketing it is well-known that leaders take responsibility to achieve the most mlm success.

Taking responsibility is a real key in anything we want to do well.  The norm is to avoid this and letting “others do it”.

My synagogue, my homeowners association, and I’m sure many other entities are facing a budget crisis.  I do not have time to serve on any boards at this time so I do not put my name forth.  I do, however, volunteer sometimes as I can for certain events.  That is more than most people do.  I’m working on leading my mlm team.

Generally in these entities you’re lucky to get enough people to fill the slots on the respective boards and you rarely see an election with competing candidates.   Do you also see this in your respective groups?

Anyway, when there is a problem usually the boards have sent out information about them and the board meetings are open to anyone in the association, but generally no one attends but board members.  The board members have to make tough decisions and this is a thankless job in tough times.  People all of a sudden show up after the fact complaining about the decisions made.  So where were we when our input was needed?

Also, people get very small-minded about necessary changes.  They tend to want the same benefits with less resources.  This doesn’t work.  We’re not the federal government.  We don’t have a printing press, nice as that would be.

So, are you a leader?  Do you make the tough decisions to stay in your business?  Are you a follower on the way to being a leader?  Are you learning to take responsibility for your success?

Wishing you to be in the position that leaders take responsibility to achieve the most mlm success,

Have you heard that it helps to have gratitude in your heart for network marketing success?

Last night I had an excellent study session with my study partner on a class we’re taking on personal growth from ancient Jewish teachings.

The subject we’re working on is gratitude but it also ties in with earlier traits of anger and humility.

One thing that keeps coming up over and over again is that we cannot have both gratitude and frustration in our minds and spirits at the same time, or gratitude and hate, or anger and God.  Many people teach this today.

We can choose which to have in our hearts at any given moment.  If frustration starts to creep in we can cancel it and open up to gratitude.  I have been able to learn to be grateful most of the time and offer thanks to God or the universe for everything, both good and seemingly bad that I experience.  How I react to everything is up to me.

I have learned that even the frustrating events I have learned to be grateful for, because when I am, I am also looking for the reason down the line – I’m supposed to leave later to meet someone, or to avoid an accident (I’ll never know for sure, but that’s okay!), or for some reason I don’t know about.

Being angry or frustrated is a waste of time and energy – it’s giving my power over to the person, thing, or event.  That’s too expensive.

Last week I noticed my tire was flat just before leaving for work.  I did not get upset and pumped it up, notified my supervisor I would be a bit late, and gave my thanks because I knew I was probably supposed to meet new people later that day.  And I did – when I took my car to Discount Tire to have the nail removed and the tire fixed.  Two of the people were intereste in products I market – they saw the magnetic signs on my car.  The day worked out for me.

Wishing you always have gratitude in your h eart for network marketing success,

Did it ever occur to you that you need to create the “real deal” for your subconscious mind for mlm success?  What the heck am I talking about!

Last night I went to an adult reading of the Megillah of the story of Esther, the Jewish holiday of Purim.  It’s a great story.  It’s not based on fact, but still a great story.  This evening was orchestrated by our synagogue’s rabbi emeritus, who is quite a character himself.

This was close to “R” rated and we laughed a lot.  I can’t tell you what went on.  I don’t know what rating you are cleared for.

But I was thinking about the story of Esther.  Each year at this time we read the story, dress up as characters, many of us, and eat the special cookie hamantaschen.  What a great time is had based on a story that has no basis in fact.  It’s not real.

How many of us base everyday business on perceptions that are not real, that have no basis in fact?  Some of our assumptions come from people who want to get us in their deal and don’t care how they do it.  There is a lot of spin going on in the network marketing world.

Some of our assumptions come from studying information written by people who have either never built a downline or did it so long ago that what worked then doesn’t work today.

Some of our assumptions come from imperfect understanding of what we are learning, while many of our assumptions come from fear and the negative aspects of that emotion which blocks our ability to move forward.

The Mental Cleanse, sponsored for free by Mentoring for Free, helps us address the fear issue.  Chapter 15 in Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich goes over that.  I certainly have identified some residual fear issues that I am working on.  Many others participating in the 30 Day Cleanse are working on their respective fears as well.

You’ve probably heard the acronym for fear being false evidence appearing real. When we learn that fear comes out of your subconscious and often, without digging, we don’t even know or remember its origin, we can begin to work on it.  Our subconscious mind does not know real from made-up.  We have to convince it of what we want it to believe.  It is much more powerful than our conscious mind.

If you ever decide you need help with that, let me know and I’ll plug you in.

Wishing you the ability to create the real deal for your subconscious mind for mlm success,

Have you ever heard that it’s important to avoid greed and ego for longterm mlm success?

Yesterday I went to a concert by a local concert band and had dinner with some of the band members.  They were talking about another band they either play with now or have played with in the past.

When control of the decisions was passed from the original directors, mistakes were made regarding marketing, music selection, dates of concerts that will eventually negatively affect the future viability of the band.  Among other things, they ticked off people who took care of some of that, who then left and no one filled in.

The Mother’s Day date at the concert hall they use was given up so that the conductor and another member could play elsewhere for a lot of money.  They didn’t want to let the band do that date without them, even though it is a big draw for people paying for tickets.

Also the July 4th concert was dropped even though it was the biggest draw of all and sold the most season ticket packages.  Even though people would have paid $5.00 a ticket to at least make up some of the cost.  Even though one of the band members offered to underwrite the concert.  The conductor and a principal member had other gigs that paid lots more and didn’t want to miss the concerts.  Even though nearly 20 year of band history showed the value of those two concerts.

I also learned that the conductor changed the terms of his agreement for pay per concert to the detriment of the band of all volunteer players and this was slipped through quietly without discussion by members.  Sounds like congressional earmarks in the U.S. bailout that were included and didn’t have to be revealed.

Greed and Ego.  It doesn’t work well for long term, recurring success in network marketing and won’t work long term for this particular band.  The band could play without these two people on occasion, with a guest conductor or even one of the other band members, many of whom are capable conductors.

In mlm to have great recurring (residual) income you have to build people.  “G” and “E” don’t do that.

Greed and Ego – sounds like the name of a Greek tragedy or a Shakespearian play.  I think I just gave myself an idea!

Wishing you the ability to avoid greed and ego for longterm mlm success,

Be Who You Are for Network Marketing Success

Sunday Leila will be with her friends at her group of Jewish adults with special needs.  They will be celebrating the holiday Purim.  This is another “freedom” or “saving the people” holiday that we have and is the story of Queen Esther, a beautiful Jewess in the city of Shushan in ancient Persia who saved her people with a lot of courage and support from cousin Mordecai, when the evil Haman had tricked King Ahasuerus into ordering the Jewish people exterminated.

The story has everything, drama, danger, blood, beauty pageant, happy ending.  If you google-itFrom it we get a fun holiday, dress-up opportunities, and great food, namely a delicious fruit-filled triangular-shaped cookie called a hamantaschen (Haman wore a triangular hat).

Have you heard the expression “the whole megillah”?  The story of Esther is one of the stories read from a megillah, which is a scroll.  There are other stories in a megillah, but I do not recall which.

Anyway, we also get to make lots of noise.  My tradition says when the megillah is read, every time Queen Esther’s name is mentioned we do the wolf whistle, Moredcai gets a cheer, and we use a noise-maker called a gragger to drown out the mention of Haman.  Great fun!

Anyway, the staff of Leila’s house will be dropping her off in the morning because I have all the costume stuff to create whatever character Leila wants to be.

Leila is the most transparent person I know.  She is who she is without pretense.  It occurred to me that we have to dress her up to be someone else for a while.

What about the rest of us?   We spend years trying to be someone other than we are to impress people, to overcome feelings of inadequacy or overbearing.  We pretend to be extra generous when we don’t feel that way or just try to project a personna other than we really are.  Often we’ve done this for so long we’re not sure about the truth of who we really are.

In network marketing many of us are told to become someone else to do the “system”, usually a red personality type.  I was actually told by an upline that I needed to get an image consultant to do a makeover – which was very conflicting with other statements that anyone can do this no matter what their figure, age, or background.  How confusing.

Well, when I learned from Michael Dlouhy that my lack of success was not my fault, at first I was angry, but then quite relieved.  When I learned the personality colors technology I understood why what I was trying to do wouldn’t work.  I could not be what I was not.  I had to learn to work with who I am, which is just fine!

Mentoring for Free teaches this on a phone training every first Saturday night of each month.  Contact me if you want to know more about that.

Anyway, happy Purim, everyone.  I hope you learn to be who you are for network marketing success.
